Bid for an upgrade
SAS Upgrade lets travelers decide just how much they want to pay to enjoy the benefits of SAS’s best products.
Bids can be made to upgrade to SAS Plus on flights within the Nordic region and Europe and to SAS Plus and SAS Business on international flights to the US and Asia.
All travelers need to do is decide how much they would like to bid. Offers for upgrades can be made immediately after booking and up to 48 hours before departure. The highest bids win the upgrade. Travelers will receive notification by email of whether their bid has been accepted 36 hours before departure.
“SAS Business and SAS Plus travel classes are fantastic experiences that SAS wants more people to enjoy”, says Catharina Törnemo Fecko, Head of Concepts & Ancillary at SAS. “And the new SAS Upgrade product simplifies upgrade requests for our travelers.”
Payment for an upgrade is only required once a bid is accepted and travelers can pay with either EuroBonus points or by credit card.
SAS Plus provides travelers with the flexibility of fast tracking through security, lounge access, more food and beverage choices onboard as well as more EuroBonus points.
SAS Business provides customers with additional benefits such as sleeper seats, comfort kits, a restaurant experience onboard and even more EuroBonus points. (The benefits may vary depending on what flight and which airport the upgrade concerns).
EuroBonus Diamond, Gold and Silver members will have a better chance of getting upgraded.
